By Brenda Peterson and Photographer Annie Marie Musselman

Wolf Haven gives an intimate look at the intelligence and majesty of the wolves that have been given sanctuary at Wolf Haven International near Mount Ranier in Washington State. Annie Marie Musselman’s stirring photographs express the wolves’ wild spirit and intuitive nature, behavior patterns and social structure, while Brenda Peterson’s text puts their stories into the context of their struggle to coexist with man.

Musselman’s hope is that people who might otherwise be distant from nature will be inspired. “Maybe by seeing these animals up close and by learning about them, people will care more for them and want to protect them more.”
