One of the hottest trends in publishing is coloring books for grownups. There are plenty of theories behind why this classic pastime for children has become so popular, but it most likely has a lot to do with stress relief, among other things. Nostalgia may be another good reason. Coloring gives adults a chance to return to a simpler time when the most important decision we had to make was which crayon to use.
Well-Being chose a coloring book by Quadrille Publishing, The Coloring Book of Mindfulness: 50 Quotes and Designs to Help You Focus, Slow Down, De-Stress. This selection includes line illustrations of the natural world, from flowers and trees, to butterflies and birds. Alongside the beautiful illustrations is a collection of 50 inspirational quotes to help still the mind, and relax the body. It’s a great way to get in touch with your inner child and give your body, mind and spirit a rest from the stresses of the adult world.
