As we start another year of Well-Being, I am filled with anticipation for what lies ahead. We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to collaborate with so many amazing people who are working every day to help reverse the negative health statistics that have continued to plague our state. Throughout our journey, we have discovered that for all the bad news we hear about where Mississippi ranks in the nation in terms of health, there is also a lot of good news about improvements to access to care, the expansion of health resources, and the advent of new technologies and therapies that are resulting in better health outcomes.
In 2017, we will continue to address the latest in health, fitness, nutrition, and more. To do that we will turn to you, our readers, and to our countless contributors, to tell us what you want to know about, or what news we can share with the reading public. We love to hear from our readers about what they like in our pages and what they would like to see in upcoming issues.
In this first issue of the New Year, we have focused on just a few of the many ways we can take charge of our own health and wellbeing.
