Honey Lemonade: the taste of summer in a glass

Ice cold lemonade

Nothing quenches a summer thirst like a cold glass of homemade lemonade! Try this all-natural recipe you can feel great about serving.


• 4 cups water

• 1/3 – 1/2 cup Mississippi honey

• 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 5 – 7 large lemons)


  1. Heat water and 1/3 cup of honey in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir to dissolve honey. (This should take about 1 minute.)
  3. Once dissolved, remove from heat.
  4. Add lemon juice and stir well. For sweeter lemonade add more honey.
  5. Chill and serve.
  6. Garnish with a lemon slice. For a fresh twist, serve with a sprig of mint.
