Celebrating our 50th Issue

The November/December 2018 issue marks a special milestone for all of us who have had the privilege of bringing Well-Being to our readers since the first issue was released in August of 2010. It has been an amazing journey. I especially want to recognize two members of our staff who have been here since the very beginning and whose talents and creativity have been integral to giving Well-Being its special personality and style – Alison Martin, our Creative Director and Graphic Designer, and Abe Draper, our staff photographer, who also helps to manage our distribution. They are the heart and soul of the magazine. And, we can’t forget all of the great contributing writers and photographers who have worked with us over the years, each bringing their own special craft to our pages.

Our 50th issue comes at the end of a busy year during a time when we are reminded of our many blessings. It is a season when we aspire to more fully embrace what is good in mankind and work to more closely pattern our thoughts, words and deeds after the One who came to bring the world peace so long ago. Never have we needed His message more than we do this year and this season.

We want to thank our readers, contributors and advertisers for taking this journey with us. We began with a goal of shedding a light on the positive progress Mississippi and Mississippians have made in improving our health, fitness and overall wellbeing. As a state, we still have a long way to go, but with every issue those of us on the Well-Being staff have been amazed and inspired by all of the individuals and organizations that are dedicated to making our state a healthier place to live and work. We are thankful for having the opportunity to cross paths with them along the way and learn about what they are doing so we can share the good news with our readers.

We wish you all a safe and healthy holiday season, and we look forward to bringing Well-Being to your life for many issues to come.
